Since 1992 Attorney David E. Jones has also been designated as “AV Preeminent” according to the Martindale-Hubbell peer review attorney rating criteria, its highest rating.
For many years, the Martindale-Hubble attorney directory has published ratings of attorneys based upon confidential responses from an attorney’s peers — lawyers and judges actually familiar with the law practice of the attorney being rated.
The rating criteria address the attorney’s ethical standards, legal knowledge, judgment, communication ability and legal experience. For attorneys who have been rated, the ratings are published in the directory and on the Lawyers.com website.
According to Martindale-Hubbell, an “AV Preeminent” rating is only awarded to lawyers considered to have the highest ethical standing and who have achieved the highest level of professional excellence.
Public Interest and Legislative Advocacy
Attorney Jones now devotes much of his time to public interest advocacy and legislative lobbying in the areas of voting rights, government ethics and campaign finance reform. Almost all of his public interest advocacy and lobbying activities are pro bono (without charge) as a volunteer.
